Setting the course for the future: Steffen Schwerd takes over as Chairman of the Executive Board at König + Neurath AG

Management change at the family-owned company König + Neurath: Steffen Schwerd takes over the position of CEO on 1 April - succeeding Marc W. Lorch.

König + Neurath AG, one of the longest-established family businesses in the office furniture industry, is looking to the future: with effect from 01 April 2025, Dipl.-Ing. Steffen Schwerd will take over as Chairman of the Management Board, leading the company into the next phase of its development. He succeeds Marc W. Lorch, who is leaving the company after a successful period to pursue new professional challenges.

As an experienced manager with extensive expertise in strategic management and international sales, Steffen Schwerd is ideally placed to continue the sustainable development of the family business. Previously, he was CSO at WITTENSTEIN SE, where he was responsible for the global sales strategy in addition to his general management activities.

"I am delighted to now officially take on the role of CEO," says Steffen Schwerd. "Together with the entire team, I want to actively utilise the opportunities presented by the market, further develop internal processes and drive forward innovative solutions - always with the aim of offering our customers real added value."

The Supervisory Board and the shareholders emphasise the importance of the change and are optimistic about the future: "We are convinced that Steffen Schwerd will make a lasting contribution to the further development of König + Neurath with his management style and clear vision," emphasises Thomas M. Reimann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. "His value-orientated attitude and technical expertise are an excellent fit with our corporate culture."

The change at the top of the company marks an important step in the future-orientation of the family-owned company, in order to take on the challenges of the market with fresh impetus and actively shape the future of work - in close cooperation with partners, multipliers and employees.
